The Royal Enfield Himalayan was launched in India at the recently concluded Motoverse 2023. Now, according to our dealer sources, the deliveries of the motorcycle are likely to commence in December 2023.
The motorcycle is available in four variants- Base, Pass, Summit and Hanle Black. It is priced from Rs 2.69 lakh, ex-showroom for the Base variant. If you shell out some more, you could get the Pass variant for Rs 2.74 lakh. The Summit version is priced at Rs 2.79 lakh while the Hanle Black will cost you Rs 2.84 lakh, ex-showroom.
Royal Enfield has plonked in a new liquid-cooled 450cc, single-cylinder engine in the new Himalayan. The motor churns out 40bhp and 40Nm and comes with a six-speed gearbox and an assist and slipper clutch as standard. Weighing in at 196kg, the new Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 is lighter than the outgoing model and comes with a bigger fuel tank too.
That said, it also comes with features like a large, circular TFT screen that offers Google Maps navigation and Bluetooth connectivity. It also comes with switchable ABS, full-LED lighting and ride-by-wire. As for competition, the KTM 390 Adventure is its closest rival followed by the KTM 250 Adventure, BMW G310 GS and the Yezdi Adventure as well.
