- Same as the model sold in India
- Uses a 450cc, liquid-cooled engine
- Competes against the KTM 390 Adventure
The Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 was launched in India last month at the brand’s MotoVerse event. And now, the motorcycle manufacturer has introduced the Himalayan 450 in international markets like the UK, France and Italy.
While the starting price of the Himalayan 450 in India is Rs 2.69 lakh, the motorcycle costs EUR 5900 or Rs 5.30 lakh in Italy and France. Meanwhile, in the UK, it has a starting price of GBP 5,750 or an equivalent of Rs 6 lakh. Now, the motorcycle sold internationally is not much different than the model sold in our country. So, it is available in five colour options and is powered by a 450cc single-cylinder engine that is the first liquid-cooled engine from Royal Enfield. It churns out 40bhp and 40Nm and is mated to a six-speed gearbox with an assist and slipper clutch.
Weighing in at 196kg, the adventure-touring motorcycle is lighter than the Himalayan 411 while offering more fuel carrying capacity too. Speaking of which, the 450 rides on a 21/17-inch spoke wheel combo with dual-purpose tyres. Its feature list in impressive too and includes full-LED lighting, ride-by-wire and switchable ABS. The Himalayan 450 also gets a circular TFT screen with Bluetooth connectivity.
