Royal Enfield launched the Himalayan 450 in India and Europe in November 2023. And now, after almost nine months, the company has finally launched the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 in the North American market.
The Base variant of the Himalayan 450 in the US is priced from USD 5,799 (Rs. 4.86 lakh) for the Kaza Brown paint scheme. The Pass variant, which includes the Slate Himalayan Salt and Slate Poppy Blue colours, is priced at USD 5,899 (Rs. 4.94 lakh). Meanwhile, the Summit variant costs USD 5,999 (Rs. 5.02 lakh) in the US. Currently, the top-spec model is only available in the Hanle Black paint scheme, while the Kamet White colourway will be introduced later.
In Canada, the Himalayan 450 starts at CAD 7,699 (Rs. 4.66 lakh) and runs up to CAD 7,999 (Rs. 4.84 lakh) for the top-spec model. Royal Enfield offers a three-year, unlimited-mile warranty and roadside assistance on the Himalayan 450 in the North American market.
In India, the Himalayan 450 is one of the best adventure bikes in its segment. The KTM 390 Adventure rival from Royal Enfield is powered by a 452cc, liquid-cooled engine, which also powers the recently launched Guerrilla 450. The single-cylinder motor makes 39.5bhp and 40Nm of peak torque. It is coupled with a six-speed gearbox.
Besides the 390 Adventure, the Himalayan 450 also rivals the Triumph Scrambler 400 X, Yezdi Adventure and the BMW G 310 GS.
