- Teased by Royal Enfield MD, Sid Lal
- India launch soon
It’s no secret that Royal Enfield is working on the Himalayan 450 and is set to launch it very soon. The bike has been spotted testing quite a few times and now, Royal Enfield MD, Sid Lal too has teased it on his social media handles.
In the video, the Himalayan 450 test mule is being put through, what appears to be an off-road terrain with a water crossing. The clip also reveals the bike’s LED headlight with LED turn indicators and a massive crash guard along with the secondary beak.
From the previous images and our exclusive information, we know that Royal Enfield will plonk a single-cylinder liquid-cooled 450cc motor in it with the output rated at 40bhp and 45Nm. Behind the test mule’s transparent windscreen is the new instrument cluster.
The Himalayan 450 will benefit from USD front forks and an offset monoshock. Meanwhile, the front and rear disc brake setup with dual-channel ABS is mounted on the 21-inch front and the 17-inch rear spoked wheel setup.
Currently, the bike is in its testing stages and is inching closer to production. However, it’ll be a while before the official debut. Not to mention, Royal Enfield is also testing the Scram 450, Super Meteor 650 as well as the Bullet 350.
