Royal Enfield is all set to launch the Himalayan 450 in India tomorrow, 24 November at the Motoverse 2023.
The bookings of the motorcycle were opened earlier this month and the pricing will finally be out. The Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 to fill the price gap between the now-discontinued Himalayan 411 and the Interceptor 650 in the Indian market. Hence, it is expected to start at Rs 2.50 lakh to Rs 2.60 lakh for the Kaza Brown paint scheme. The three variants on offer are Base, Pass and Summit that are likely to cost anywhere between Rs 12,000 to Rs 20,000 over that price.
Royal Enfield has plonked in a new liquid-cooled 450cc, single-cylinder engine in the new Himalayan. The motor churns out 40bhp and 40Nm and comes with a six-speed gearbox and an assist and slipper clutch as standard. Weighing in at 196kg, the new Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 is lighter than the outgoing model. That said, it also comes with interesting features like a large, circular TFT screen with navigation and Bluetooth connectivity. It also comes with switchable ABS, full-LED lighting and ride-by-wire.
As for competition, it will go up against the KTM 390 Adventure that is offered in low seat height and spoke wheel versions in India.
