- Himalayan 450 launch soon
- First bike from the new 450cc liquid-cooled platform
- Will go against KTM 390 Adventure
Royal Enfield is gearing up to launch one of its most anticipated motorcycles – the Himalayan 450. This adventure bike is likely to make its global debut within two months.
According to dealer sources, the Chennai-based company has given dealers a heads-up about a new motorcycle launch. They have been asked to prepare a dedicated showroom space for this motorcycle and at the accessories counter. One of the dealers informed BikeWale about the service training of some of their mechanics, which will likely occur at Royal Enfield’s Chennai facility. However, the timeline for this wasn’t revealed.
Royal Enfield doesn’t want to leave any stone unturned with the Himalayan 450, as this bike will debut the company’s new 450cc liquid-cooled platform. This motorcycle is expected to change the adventure bike segment in the country as it did when the Himalayan 411 was launched in 2017.
The company recently teased the complete bike for the first time via CS Santosh’s Instagram account. The bike was seen doing jumps, sliding, and also riding through slush. It is clear that the new Himalayan 450 will be positioned as a hardcore adventure bike. Regarding pricing, we expect the Himalayan 450 to have a starting price of around Rs. 2.5 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). Meanwhile, a Raid version is also planned and it will have better features, but it will debut in 2025.
