- New Himalayan 452 to weigh 196kg
- Will get a new 452cc engine
- Price likely to be revealed at 2023 Motoverse
Royal Enfield will unveil its most anticipated bike - the Himalayan 452 at the 2023 EICMA. While the brand has already released the pictures, it will bring the bike to the public on November 7 at the Italian two-wheeler show.
From the pictures released by the company, this new ADV has a design resemblance to the Himalayan 411. The overall body proportions look far more prominent than the outgoing version. The Himalayan 452 is the first bike from the brand's new 450cc liquid-cooled platform.
The new engine makes 39.57bhp at 8,000rpm, while the peak torque is likely to be in the range of 40-45Nm. The four-valve motor will come paired with a six-speed gearbox. The Himalayan 452 will tip the weighing scales with a kerb weight of 196kg. Given that the motorcycle will make 39.47bhp from its liquid-cooled motor, the Himalayan 452 is expected to offer a power-to-weight ratio of 201.4bhp/tonne.
The new Himalayan 452 will go against the KTM 390 Adventure, BMW G 310 GS, KTM 390 Adventure, and Yezdi Adventure. As for its pricing, the adventure tourer will likely cost between 2.4 lakh and Rs 2.7 lakh (ex-showroom). The bike's pricing will probably be revealed at the 2023 Rider Mania, now called the Motoverse.
