The official images of the all-new Royal Enfield Himalayan 452 were recently revealed on the company’s social handles. Now, our trusted sources have revealed some key details about the motorcycle like its kerb weight and colour details.
The Himalayan 452 will tip the weighing scales with a kerb weight of 196kg. Given that the motorcycle will make 39.47bhp from its liquid-cooled motor, the Himalayan 452 is expected to offer a power-to-weight ratio of 201.4bhp/tonne. This is significantly higher than the current model’s figure of 120.4bhp/tonne.
In addition to the kerb weight, the Royal Enfield Himalayan 452 will be offered in a new ‘Kamet White’ paint scheme. Obviously, there will be more colours on offer, but those details will be revealed later.
The Royal Enfield Himalayan 452 will be powered by a 451.65cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor that is expected to produce a maximum output of 39.57bhp at 8,000rpm, while the peak torque is likely to be in the range of 40-45Nm. The four-valve motor will come paired with a six-speed gearbox.
The new Himalayan 452 will rival the BMW G 310 GS, KTM 390 Adventure, and the Yezdi Adventure. As for its pricing, the adventure tourer is likely to cost around Rs. 2.70 lakh (ex-showroom). According to our sources, the Royal Enfield Himalayan 452 is expected to be launched in November 2023.
