Royal Enfield Himalayan 750 spied- Three key highlights spotted

The upcoming Royal Enfield Himalayan 750 was spotted testing recently and the images reveal a few yet interesting details about the test mule.

The engine

The test bike is powered by a parallel twin-cylinder engine which appears to be based on the engine in the current RE 650 range of bikes. Word is that this engine is likely to be bored out to displace around 750cc. The power and torque figures are also likely to be higher while the exhaust pipe setup is a two-int. o-one type.

What will be interesting to see is how this engine lends itself to the adventure touring format. Expect it to offer good rideability while also being refined at highway speeds.

The chassis

Royal Enfield is likely to have developed a new frame for the Himalayan 750. On this test mule the frame is suspended by an adjustable USD fork and monoshock. The bike is running on a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wire-spoke wheels. While these wheels are shod with tube type tyres, the production variant might be offered with wire-spoke wheels. Braking duties, meanwhile, are taken care of by twin discs at the front and a single disc at the rear.

Styling and ergonomics

The styling of the Himalayan 750 is markedly different from anything we’ve seen in the past from Royal Enfield. The design of the fairing is largely flat with a round LED headlight slotted between the two sides. The upswept tail section rises sharply and ends in a similar LED taillight cluster as seen on the Himalayan 450.

The ergonomics appear to be relaxed, with an easy reach to the handlebar and an almost neutral riding position. The bike certainly looks like a proper mile muncher with enough clearance, tyres and suspension to ride down a dirt trail, if and when the opportunity arises.

The Himalayan 750 is a long way from production and is expected to debut in 2026. Between then and now, we expect to see a few more test mules of this bike, and there could be more changes in store.
