- Three new colours added to the list
- Previous three paint themes discontinued
- Priced at Rs 2,15,900 (ex-showroom Chennai)
The Royal Enfield Himalayan has recently received a colour upgrade in the form of three new paint themes. With the addition of these new paint options, this adventure tourer is now available in six colourways in the Indian market. The existing colour palette that comprised Gravel Grey, Pine Green, and Granite Black is now joined by Dune Brown, Glacier Blue, and Sleet Black colours. Meanwhile, the company has discontinued the Lake Blue, Rock Red, and Mirage Silver paint themes from the list. Further, the new Himalayan will also feature a debossed logo on the grill and side panels, and a USB charging port.
The changes are limited to the tweaks to the colour palette and the addition of the USB port. Meanwhile, the styling remains unaltered and the Himalayan continues to pack design elements such as a round headlight, tinted windscreen, beak-style front fender, split-seat, side-slung exhaust, and wire-spoke wheels. These wheels are shod in tube-type tyres.
The mechanical specifications, too, remain unaltered and the Royal Enfield Himalayan continues to use the BS6-compliant, 411cc, single-cylinder, air/oil-cooled engine. Linked to a five-speed gearbox, this motor produces a maximum output of 24.3bhp at 6,500rpm and 32Nm of peak torque at 4,500rpm.
The motorcycle is now priced at Rs 2,15,900 (ex-showroom, Chennai) and its bookings are open across India.
