Although not official yet, Royal Enfield dealerships have been recalling the Himalayan. The recently launched adventure motorcycle is said to have an issue with the rocker shaft and the clutch assembly. If affected, Royal Enfield will replace both parts free of cost at their authorised service centres.
There have been complaints in the customer circle regarding the noisy nature of the engine on the Himalayan. They have also gone in and got their tappets adjusted but, the problem appears to be a bigger one. Royal Enfield seems to be taking care of that issue with the rocker replacement fix. What comes as a surprise is the clutch assembly replacement, because there have been no issues reported on the same.
We expect to hear word from Royal Enfield within a few days. Until then, Himalayan owners head to a Royal Enfield service centre and figure out if your motorcycle is affected.
