Royal Enfield will launch the Himalayan Sleet on 30 January. Ahead of its launch, we tell you what you can expect from the upcoming special edition motorcycle from the Chennai-based manufacturer.
New colour
The Himalayan Sleet differs itself from the standard Himalayan with its colour scheme. This colour scheme consists of a base grey with dark grey and white in a camouflage theme on the mudguard, tank and rear fender. It is inspired by the partially-melted snow from the Himalaya mountain ranges - where the bike gets its name from.
Explorer kit
The Himalayan Sleet comes with an ‘Explorer’ kit as standard equipment. This kit includes an engine guard, a cross brace handlebar and 26-litre hard case aluminium panniers for each side of the bike.
Limited edition
The bike will be limited to 500 units and will only be sold on their official site to maintain exclusivity. Given the selling time of Royal Enfield’s previous special edition models, we expect the Sleet to be sold out in a few minutes.
Engine
Mechanically, the bike remains the same. It will continue to use the 411cc, fuel-injected, single-cylinder engine that produces 24.5bhp and 32Nm of torque. This unit transfers power to the rear wheel via a five-speed gearbox.
Price
The Royal Enfield Himalayan Sleet can be booked with a token amount of Rs 5000 and will cost Rs 2.12 lakhs on-road; a premium addition of Rs 26,000 over the standard bike.
