The Royal Enfield Himalayan has been spotted in a new paint scheme for 2018. It gets a camouflage theme that is a base grey colour with dark grey and white graphics all through the bike.
Currently the bike is available in a white and black option and the new camouflage colour will be an addition to the colour palette. Apart from the new colour, the Himalayan will remain the same. It will continue to be powered by the 411cc single-cylinder, fuel injected, air-cooled engine that produces 24.5bhp and 32Nm of torque. The power is transferred to the rear wheel via a five-speed gearbox.
The manufacturer had discontinued the Himalayan after it faced persistent niggles. However, the bike was re-introduced in September last year with a BS-IV compliant engine and a claim of better refinement. The manufacturer has since seen a steady growth in demand for the bike and will hope that the new colour scheme garners more interest in the Himalayan.
