- Himalayan to get two new paint options
- Likely to be launched before September
- No other major changes
The Royal Enfield Himalayan is set to receive a revamp soon and will get a couple of new paint options as part of the update. These paint options are likely to be launched officially in the next couple of weeks.
First up is the Glacial Blue colour scheme that is a mix of matte and gloss blue. This colour option looks similar to what the Classic 350 Signals edition had to offer. Then there is the Dune Brown paint scheme that features patches like that on the Pine Green colour already available. The front and rear fender are finished in this colour and so is the frame that is fitted on either side of the fuel tank. With the addition of these colours, the Royal Enfield Himalayan will be offered in a choice of eight paint schemes that include Lake Blue, Rock Red, Granite Black, Mirage Silver, Pine Green and Gravel Grey.
That said, the pricing for the new colour is likely to be the same as the existing options. The Glacial Blue is expected to be priced at Rs 2.14 lakh whereas the Dune Brown would demand Rs 2.22 lakh, ex-showroom. However, the rest of the Himalayan remains the same. It comes powered by a 411cc, single-cylinder motor that churns out 24.3bhp and 32Nm. You get a semi-digital instrument cluster with Tripper navigation and dual-channel ABS as standard.
In terms of competition, the Royal Enfield Himalayan takes on the KTM 390 and 250 Adventure as well as the Suzuki V-Strom SX in the country.
