- Hanway G30 adventure tourer launched in China
- Gets styling identical to the Royal Enfield Himalayan
- Equipped with better features than the Himalayan
The Chinese automobile market comprises a host of brands that excel in copying designs of original products. And the most recent example of this is the Hanway G30, a 250cc adventure tourer boasting a design closely similar to the Royal Enfield Himalayan.
Starting from the round headlamp and tall windscreen to the exposed frame and luggage rack, everything looks identical to that of the Himalayan. However, there’s a difference in the list of equipment present in the Himalayan and the G30. The latter is more advanced with a full-LED lighting setup and a 5V 2A charging port. While the standard variant incorporates a twin-pod LCD instrument cluster, there’s a higher spec variant that gets a full-colour TFT console!
Hanway has also equipped the G30 with better hardware than the Himalayan. It rides on a 19-17-inch tubeless wire-spoked wheel combination that is suspended by upside down forks up front and a monoshock at the rear. Even the fuel tank is 5-litres larger than the Himalayan’s with a capacity of 19-litres. Powering the G30 is a 249.2cc, liquid-cooled, single cylinder engine that churns out around 26bhp and 22Nm.
