Royal Enfield Hunter 350: Product positioning
The Hunter 350 has been designed and developed with a view to bringing newer and younger buyers into the Royal Enfield fold. The Royal Enfield Hunter 350 offers a great blend of youthful modern-retro styling and engaging performance while enabling its customers to experience riding brotherhood that is synonymous with the brand.
Royal Enfield Hunter 350: Specifications
The Hunter 350 is powered by the new J-series 349cc, air-cooled engine that makes 20.8bhp and 27Nm. The motor is coupled to a five-speed transmission. The motor offers excellent refinement and linear performance, while also delivering decent efficiency. The metro variant drops anchors with the help of disc brakes at both ends, along with the safety net of dual-channel ABS. However, the retro variant makes do with a rear drum brake and a single-channel ABS system.
Damping hardware includes 41mm telescopic forks at the front and twin shock absorbers at the back. Notably, the Hunter 350 suffers from jarringly stiff ride quality. The stiff suspension setup is offered to counter the low ground clearance of 135mm.
Royal Enfield Hunter 350: Price and competition
The Royal Enfield Hunter 350 is offered in Retro and Metro variants. The retro variant is priced at Rs 1.49 lakh (ex-showroom) and is available in two colours. The metro variant, on the other hand, costs between Rs 1.67 lakh to Rs 1.72 lakh (ex-showroom). The Hunter 350 metro is available in six paint schemes.
As for its competition, the Royal Enfield Hunter 350 primarily rivals the TVS Ronin 225. However, it will also face competition from the likes of the Keeway SR250, Honda CB350RS, and the Jawa 42.
