As mentioned above, the Hunter 350 uses the newly developed J-platform. The motorcycle is powered by a 349cc, air/oil-cooled engine that is tuned to deliver a maximum output of 20.2bhp at 6,100rpm and a peak torque of 27Nm at 4,000rpm. This motor is linked to a five-speed gearbox. The Hunter 350 delivered a marginally higher fuel economy than the Classic 350. This product from Royal Enfield returned a fuel economy of 36.22kmpl in Bikewale’s internal testing, thus giving it a range of approximately 470km on a full tank. In comparison, the Classic 350 delivered a fuel economy of 32kmpl under similar conditions.
What is the price of the Royal Enfield Hunter 350?
The Royal Enfield Hunter 350 is available in three variants – Retro Factory, Metro Dapper, and Metro Rebel. The Retro Factory is available at Rs. 1.49 lakh, while the Metro Dapper and Metro Rebel have been priced at Rs. 1.67 lakh and Rs. 1.72 lakh, respectively. The Retro and Metro variants are distinguished through their respective hardware, with the latter packing more features.
How different are the Retro and Metro variants of the Royal Enfield Hunter 350?
The Retro variant gets spoke wheels that are shod in tube tyres, a single disc brake along with a single-channel ABS setup, a basic-looking analogue console with a tiny LCD, and a halogen tail lamp. This version also gets a simpler seat, a tubular pillion grab rail, and more understated paint schemes – Factory Black and Factory Silver. In comparison, the Metro version gets alloy wheels that are wrapped in tubeless tyres, single disc brakes at both ends, dual-channel ABS, an LED tail lamp, and a Meteor 350-like instrument cluster with a bigger LCD at the centre. The premium version also gets split-type pillion grab rails along with a more stylish tuck-and-roll seat.
