- Royal Enfield sold 43,048 units last month
- Exports grows by 365 per cent
- Sales in India remain flat
Royal Enfield has announced its June 2021 sales numbers and the Chennai-based manufacturer has sold a total of 43,048 motorcycles last month.
As compared to June 2020, wherein it sold 38,065 units, Royal Enfield has registered a 13 per cent growth. Now, out of the total figure, the company’s exports accounted for 7,233 motorcycles; a staggering 365 per cent growth over the 1,555 units exported in the same period last year.
And while Royal Enfield managed to despatch 35,815 units in the Indian market last month, the number was lower than June 2020’s sales figure of 36,510 units. Nevertheless, Royal Enfield’s sales numbers have shown a substantial improvement between April to June 2021 as compared to the same period last year, which witnessed the first wave of COVID-19. Most of these numbers can be attributed to the brand’s highest-selling model- the Classic 350.
Although, even the sales of its latest offering, the Meteor 350 have seemed to pick up quite well. We can expect Royal Enfield sales to improve over the coming months as the brand is likely to launch a couple of new models by the end of 2021.
