After unveiling the limited edition Classic 500 Despatch models few days ago, Royal Enfield has finally launched them in Mumbai today at Rs 2.05 lakh (ex-showroom Mumbai), along with the Despatch merchandise.
The two Despatch models – Desert Storm and Squadron Blue have been hand painted by hydrographic print transfer. This technique involves transferring the camouflage pattern individually onto the motorcycle’s body panels, after which they are assembled on the motorcycle. The result of this technique is a signature camouflage pattern for each individual machine, which ensures that no two Despatch motorcycles have the exact same design which is really interesting. Both the bikes get leather seats and a leather buckle that supports its airbox.
Royal Enfield is offering the Despatch edition in battle green paint scheme as well, however, the Indian market won’t get it due to the colour being allowed to be used legally on the Indian armed forces vehicles. While the Royal Enfield motorcycles are always in demand, the reason for launching the limited edition motorcycles is to promote its online store and increase the brand value for the company. If you are interested in buying this model, head to the Royal Enfield online store and book one as the bikes are limited to only 100 units.
