Royal Enfield has announced a new special edition Himalayan, called the Himalayan Sleet. Limited to just 500 units, the motorcycle will retail at Rs 2.12 lakh (on-road).
The Royal Enfield Himalayan Sleet is available in a unique grey camouflage paint scheme. The company is offering the ‘Explorer’ kit as standard. The kit includes two 26-litre aluminium hardcase panniers, a crossbrace handlebar and an engine guard. There are no changes under the skin. The Himalayan Sleet continues to be powered by a 411cc fuel-injected single-cylinder engine delivering 24.5bhp and 32Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a five-speed transmission.
The Himalayan Sleet will go on sale on 30 January exclusively through the company’s official website. The motorcycle can be booked for a token amount of Rs 5,000. It is worth noting that the standard Himalayan retails at Rs 1.86 lakh (on-road), which means that the Himalayan Sleet is a whopping Rs 26,000 pricier. However, with just 500 units on offer, we expect the sale to last just for a few minutes.
