- New Classic 350 Bobber launch soon
- Based on Classic 350
- Will sit below Meteor 350
Royal Enfield started 2024 with the launch of the Shotgun 650. Now it plans to expand its 350cc line-up by launching the Bobber version of the Classic 350.
According to our sources, the Chennai-based company is planning to introduce the Classic 350 Bobber in the first quarter of the next fiscal year. This motorcycle will sit above the Classic 350 but will be marginally priced higher than the modern-retro motorcycle. Currently, the Meteor 350 is the most expensive in Royal Enfield’s 350cc line-up and the new Bobber will sit very close to the Meteor 350.
This Royal Enfield will get a tall handlebar and the rear floating seat, which could be removable. The test bike also reveals other elements on the Bobber, including the white-walled tyres, a pannier mount on the right side, and an engine guard as well. We expect Royal Enfield to offer the crash guard as an accessory for an added premium, as it does for its existing line-up.
Royal Enfield will use the same J-series, 349cc, single-cylinder motor for the upcoming Bobber, as that of the Classic 350, Hunter, Meteor, and the Bullet. This engine makes 20.2bhp and 27Nm and is linked to a five-speed gearbox. Not to mention, the Bobber’s chassis will also be altered to accommodate the new seating setup. Its hardware includes telescopic front forks, dual rear shocks, a disc brake at both ends, and spoke wheels with road-biased tyres.
There’s no direct rival to the Classic 350 Bobber and as a result, this motorcycle will enjoy all the attention in the segment. However, this bike falls in a niche segment due to which the sales number aren’t expected to be high.
