Royal Enfield is planning to launch the Himalayan with ABS in India next month. The top honcho of the company, Rudratej Singh said this during the launch of the Classic 350 Signals.
The Classic 350 Signals is the first ABS equipped Royal Enfield bike in India. Both its versions, Airborne Blue and Stormrider Sand are available with this safety equipment. The Chennai-based manufacturer plans to equip all its motorcycles with dual-channel ABS system much before the ABS norms that kicks in on 1st April, 2019.
Royal Enfield already sells the Himalayan ABS model in the international markets. When it is launched in India, expect it to get a price hike of around Rs 10,000. Even after the price hike, the Himalayan will be the most affordable adventure bike in India.
