Royal Enfield has finally revealed that the Meteor 350 will be launched in India on 6 November. With a couple of weeks left, we tell you what to expect from the upcoming Meteor 350.
Pricing
Let’s begin with the most important aspect of all- the Royal Enfield Meteor 350’s price. We expect the motorcycle to cost somewhere between Rs 1.70 lakh and Rs 1.80 lakh, ex-showroom. This will help it undercut its biggest rival, the Honda H’ness CB350 which retails at Rs 1.85 lakh by a considerable margin.
Variants
The Meteor 350 will be offered in three variants- Fireball, Stellar and Supernova. Each variant is different cosmetically and is offered in different colour options that further set them apart. The Fireball will be available in Fireball Yellow and Fireball Red. The Meteor 350 Stellar variant will be offered in a choice of three paint options– Red Metallic, Black Matte, and Blue Metallic. Meanwhile, the top-spec Supernova variant will be available in two, dual-tone colours– Brown and Blue.
Engine
Royal Enfield has heavily revised the 349cc engine found on the Classic 350 and Thunderbird 350 and plonked it in the Meteor. Going by leaked documents, this air-cooled and fuel-injected motor will churn out 20.2bhp of power and 27Nm of peak torque.
Features
The Meteor 350 is expected to come equipped with features, unlike any other Royal Enfield motorcycle. For starters, it will sport a small digital display beside the semi-digital instrument cluster that will offer Bluetooth connectivity and navigation along with a USB charger. Moreover, the bike will also get an LED DRL and an LED tail lamp as standard.
