- Royal Enfield Meteor 350 likely to be priced around Rs 1.75 lakh
- To be fitted with a navigation system
- Likely to use a heavily revised motor
Royal Enfield is all set to launch the Meteor 350 in India soon. In fact, dealers across the country have revealed that the motorcycle could be launched in mid-September.
The Meteor 350 is likely to replace the Thunderbird 350X and is expected to be priced between Rs 1.70-1.74 lakh. This is a considerable premium over the latter’s Rs 1.64 lakh price tag. While the Meteor 350 takes inspiration from the Thunderbird 350X for styling, the motorcycle is to get a host of updates to set it apart.
To begin with, it will receive a navigation system displayed through an LCD fitted alongside the analogue speedometer. It is also likely to offer Bluetooth so the rider can connect a smartphone to the bike via a dedicated app. The Meteor also gets a revised seat and completely revised switchgear.
The Royal Enfield Meteor 350 is built on a new double-cradle frame that is expected to house a heavily revised iteration of the Thunderbird’s 346cc motor. Furthermore, the placement of the disc brake and drivetrain is now on the opposite side. And going by spy images, Royal Enfield will also offer the Meteor 350 with accessories like a large windscreen, engine guard, pannier holders, as well as different footpegs.
