- Royal Enfield Meteor 350 teaser released
- Gives away the thumping exhaust note
- Official launch scheduled on 6 November, 2020
Royal Enfield has released a launch invite-cum-teaser video of its upcoming Meteor 350 which will be officially launched on 6 November, 2020. While we already know a lot of details about the bike, the teaser video now also reveals its exhaust note. On listening attentively, one can make out that it retains the typical single-cylinder Royal Enfield thump, but in a nicer and throatier way.
Although the engine of the Meteor will have a 350cc displacement, similar to the Classic and Thunderbird, it will be a heavily revised unit. Perhaps with a more refined and smoother character. Previously leaked documents have revealed that the Meteor produces 20.2bhp and 27Nm of torque. Furthermore, holding this engine will be a new double-cradle frame.
Unlike the existing 350cc REs which are bare basic on the feature front, the Meteor will be much more modern. It will come equipped with a semi-digital instrument cluster with a small LCD along with Bluetooth connectivity and navigation. Things like LED DRL, LED tail lamp, and a USB charger will also be a part of the package.
Royal Enfield will introduce the Meteor 350 in three variants – Fireball, Stellar and Supernova, which will differ cosmetically. The prices of the motorcycle are likely to be in the ballpark of Rs 1.70-1.80 lakh (ex-showroom) and it will compete against the likes of the Honda H’ness CB 350.
