- Hunter 350 and Himalayan spotted testing
- Himalayan could be an accessorised version
- A total of three new motorcycles expected from Royal Enfield
A while ago, the new Royal Enfield Classic 350 and Hunter 350 were spotted testing. Now, yet again the images of the new Hunter 350 and the Himalayan have surfaced on the internet. The images were taken on Tindivanam-Melmaruvathur highway.
As it can be seen from the images, the Hunter 350 gets a circular headlamp, tail-lamp and indicators. Mirrors are also circular and are mounted on the wide handlebars. It gets a single piece seat and disc brakes on both ends. This bike is expected to get the same 349cc motor and will be based on the new 'J' platform from the Meteor 350.
The Himalayan can also be seen in the images. Chances are, it could be an accessorised version and not an all new model. The tourer gets circular mirrors and headlamp along with a rectangular-ish tail section and indicators. The bike also gets scooped out single piece seat, elevated exhaust and a rear carrier. For effective braking it uses disc on both ends. Dual-purpose tyres with spoke wheels can also be seen. Concrete info on its engine and chassis are still awaited.
Upon its arrival, the new Himalayan will compete against the KTM 390 adventure and BMW G 310 GS. Meanwhile, the Hunter 350 will compete against the likes of the H'ness, CB350, Benelli Imperiale 400 and Jawa 42.
