- Royal Enfield GT Cup to commence in Europe
- Comparatively simpler race preps
- Costs a total of GBP 2850 (Rs 2.89 lakh)
Royal Enfield commenced its one-make GT Cup Series in 2021 with a properly track-specced Continental GT 650. And now, the manufacturer has introduced something similar in Europe with its French importer SIMA.
The whole idea behind the Royal Enfield One Make series is to have a race that is low-cost, mainly focusing on the rider’s skills and not the money they can pump in. Hence, the modifications are simpler than the ones on the Continental GT Cup bike. The GT 650 for the French competition gets new clip ons, a pair of Remus exhausts, a fairing, belly pan and a revamped suspension setup.
While the entire package costs GBP 2500 (Rs 2.5 lakh), Royal Enfield is offering it at GBP 1600 (Rs 1.62 lakh) to make it more accessible. Meanwhile, the registration costs for the series is GBP 160 (Rs 16,000), riders can choose to pay GBP 250 (Rs 25,000) for each race weekend or do the entire series for GBP 1250 (Rs 1.27 lakh).
With the series kicking off in France, we can expect it to be introduced in other markets across the globe soon enough.
