Royal Enfield has opened its first exclusive showroom in Australia. While the brand already has 25 touch points across the continent, this is the first showroom to exclusively cater to Royal Enfield customers.
Royal Enfield decided to set up its own exclusive store Down Under taking into account the brand’s growing popularity. Australia is one of the biggest markets for lifestyle and touring motorcycles and the brand’s traditional image has struck the right chord with the audience. The company’s portfolio consists of the Classic 350, Bullet 500, Classic 500, Continental GT and the Himalayan. Apart from motorcycles, the showroom will also sell Royal Enfield’s range accessories, riding gear and apparel.
While its sales in India continue to increase consistently, Royal Enfield has been aggressively expanding its network across the globe. The company is even planning to bring out new motorcycles based on a parallel twin platform targeted at the global audience. Responding to rising popularity of its current range, Royal Enfield is currently setting up its third manufacturing facility in Chennai which will increase the annual production capacity to nine lakh units by 2018.
