- Continental GT and Himalayan to debut in next two months.
Royal Enfield has expanded its operations in South East Asia with the inauguration of its first showroom in Shah Alam, Malaysia.
The facility offers the Royal Enfield Classic, Bullet and the Thunderbird (known as the Rumbler there) in both 350cc and 500cc variants. While the manufacturer discontinued the 535cc Continental GT in India, it will launch the bike in Malaysia next month. Soon after, its adventure-touring motorcycle, the Himalayan will debut in the country.
Moreover, the Continental GT 650 and Interceptor 650 too will arrive in Malaysia next year. The showroom will facilitate sales and after-sales service along with retailing spares, merchandise and accessories.
Royal Enfield plans to expand in Malaysia as a part of their three-year strategy with an aim of inaugurating two dealerships in every state. The manufacturer already has a base in other South-East Asian countries like Philippines, Vietnam, Indonesia and Thailand.
