Royal Enfield has opened its fourth UK store this week. The showroom which will sell the brand’s motorcycles and merchandise is located at Thatto Heath in St Helen’s, Merseyside.
This fourth store comes shortly after the third one which was launched in August. The store concept, in Aspinall Place next to the Station, is based on Royal Enfield’s globally replicated retail identity, which includes its latest clothing range and a handful of Enfields on display. The store will sell Royal Enfield’s full range of motorcycles including the Continental GT, the Bullet and the Classic 500.
Speaking about the event, Arun Gopal, head of international business at Royal Enfield, said: “The UK is Royal Enfield’s spiritual home and we remain focused on growing our presence here. There is an opportunity for us to develop the mid-size motorcycle segment within the UK and we’re confident we have a strong products that will help us achieve this.”
Alongside this new store, Royal Enfield is also developing a new R&D centre in Leicestershire, which should be operational by early 2017. The motorcycles developed here will sell globally. Royal Enfield CEO, Siddhartha Lal, says that they are on track to build 6.7 lakh motorcycles this year.
