- Royal Enfield developing KTM 390 Duke rival
- Will churn out around 40bhp
- Built on Himalayan 450 platform
Royal Enfield is looking to expand its presence in the famous street naked segment, where KTM has a strong presence. It has developed Guerrilla 450 that will take on the KTM 390 Duke.
According to our sources, the Chennai-based manufacturer has fast-tracked a 450cc street naked motorcycle planned for an early 2024 launch. This motorcycle will be built around the new 450cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled platform and will be the second bike to make its debut, the first being the Himalayan 450
In terms of styling, this upcoming 450cc roadster will carry a lot of urban design elements but will have some bits of traditional Royal Enfield styling cues. Unlike the KTMs, this bike won’t have aggressive design language but is possibly going to the most street-oriented Royal Enfield. The cycle parts are expected to be focused towards sporty riding, and the brand is looking to partner with some suppliers that develop top-spec brakes, suspension and tyres.
We are quite excited to see the bike in person, as we believe it could become an extremely fun Royal Enfield. Stay tuned to BikeWale, as we’ll tell you more about this bike very soon.
