- Sold 59,500 motorcycles in September
- Exports grew by 191 per cent

After witnessing a massive drop of 24 per cent in sales in August, Chennai-based bike maker, Royal Enfield, has managed to improve the situation by registering a 17 per cent drop in September. The company managed to sell a total of 59,500 motorcycles in September 2019 in comparison to 71,662 units sold in the corresponding month last year.
In the domestic market, the brand was able to sell 54,858 units in September as opposed to 70,065 units last year, thus recording a drop of 22 per cent. Meanwhile, as far as exports were concerned, the manufacturer registered the sale of 4,642 units in September 2019 with respect to 1,597 units in September 2018, therefore registering a positive growth of 191 per cent.
In other news, Royal Enfield has been spotted testing the next-generation Thunderbird and Classic models which are due to be launched soon. Besides that, to make its products more accessible, the company has introduced a more affordable variant of the Bullet and Classic 350 models.
