Royal Enfield shows a hike of 48 per cent in combined domestic wholesale and exports. The company sold 37,341 motorcycles last month as against 25,303 units in the corresponding period last year.
The manufacturer sold 36,597 motorcycles in India in June 2015 in comparison to 24,519 units sold in the same month last year. This is a growth of 49 per cent in domestic sales. Royal Enfield also exported 744 units last month against 784 units dispatched in the same period in 2014.
The overall year-on-year sales report also shows a boost in sales by 44 per cent, as 1,99,457 units were sold last month whereas 1,38,399 units were sold in 2014. Out of these 1,94,832 motorcycles were sold in India and 4,625 were exported this year.
Apart from the strong sales Royal Enfield has set up a strong aftermarket network and infrastructure in different regions in India. The company aims to make sure through these outlets that the customers have a full service support in their region. The company has extended its reach overseas as well. Royal Enfield recently launched new colours for the Classic 350 and the Continental GT in Columbia. They have also opened their first exclusive store in Dubai, where their latest gear collection is being showcased.
