- Royal Enfield Scram 411 spied undergoing road test
- Looked ready for production
- India launch could take place in February 2022
Royal Enfield’s upcoming scrambler, the Scram 411, has been spied testing once again. Interestingly, the recently-spotted test mule looked thoroughly production-ready, hinting that the official launch is just around the corner.
As we know, the Scram 411 is majorly based on the existing Himalayan adventure motorcycle. However, there are subtle differences like a new headlamp nacelle, a small plastic cowl under the fuel tank, a single-piece seat, and a grab rail shorter than the Himalayan’s. The sighted test mule adorned a black and grey dual-tone body paint which is available in the Himalayan as well.
The biggest change in the Scram 411 over its existing counterpart is the front wheel size. As opposed to the large 21-inch spoke wheel in the Himalayan, the Scram sports a smaller 19-inch unit. The rear though continues to ride on a 17-inch spoke wheel. While the engine too is expected to remain the same 24.3bhp, 411cc, single-cylinder unit, the gear ratios might be different to suit its purpose.
The Royal Enfield Scram 411 is likely to be officially launched in February 2022 with a price tag of around Rs 1.90 lakh (ex-showroom).
