Royal Enfield unveiled the new Scram 440 at Motoverse in Goa. The Scram 440 is based on the Scram 411; however, as the name suggests, it has a bigger capacity engine. Here are the details of the bike.
The styling of the Scram 440 is the same as the Scram 411. The fuel tank, mini tank extension and tail section are the same as before. However, it gets a set of bold, new colours that make the bike look quite attractive. They are called Force Blue, Force Grey, Force Teal, Trail Green, Trail Blue.
The Scram 440 is available in two variants- Trail and Force. The latter gets alloy wheels and tubeless tyres.
It is powered by a 443cc single-cylinder motor that makes 25.4bhp and 34Nm and is mated to a six-speed gearbox. The sixth cog should help while cruising down the highway.
Under the bodywork, the frame is the same, save for some beefing up to accommodate a top box with a 5kg payload.
The Scram 440 has a telescopic fork at the front and a monoshock at the rear. It has a 19-inch front and a 17-inch rear wheel. Braking is taken care of by a disc brake at the front and the rear.
Royal Enfield will launch the bike in January 2025.
