- Unveiled at the Motoverse 2024
- Features a new revised engine and gearbox
- Likely to be launched early next year
Royal Enfield took the wraps off the Scram 440 at the Motoverse 2024 this year. The bike is now offered with a revised engine and gearbox and a few other changes as well. While Royal Enfield only debuted the Scram 440 a couple of days ago, its launch will take place early next year.
While the Scram 440 looks identical to the Scram 411, it has received major changes in terms of a new, and larger 443cc single-cylinder engine that makes 25.4bhp at 6,250rpm and a peak torque of 34Nm at 4,000rpm. It also gets a six-speed gearbox compared to the older 5-speed unit.
Royal Enfield has also made other changes like adding a lighter clutch, tweaking the front brake for better bite, and strengthening the chassis for an additional 5kg payload at the rear. Apart from that, the Scram 440 borrows the hardware from its donor 411 model. So you get the same telescopic front forks and a monoshock.
Royal Enfield is now offering the Scram 440 with two-wheel types - alloy with tubeless tyres and spoke wheels with tubed CEAT tyres. It has a single front and rear disc with switchable dual-channel ABS.
With the new updates and changes, Royal Enfield has introduced multiple colour options for the Scram 440 - Force Blue, Force Grey, Force Teal, Trail Green, and Trail Blue. We expect it to cost slightly more than the 411 version given the number of changes made to it.
