The new Royal Enfield Scram 440 will soon be launched in India. The motorcycle debuted at Motoverse 2024 and the prices are expected to be revealed this month. The Scram 440 features many updates over the Scram 411 and here’s everything you need to know about the Scram 440.
Bigger engine
The Scram 440 will employ a bored-out version of the 411cc motor with an increased engine capacity of 443cc. This single-cylinder, oil-cooled engine delivers 25.4bhp at 6,250rpm and a peak torque of 34Nm at 4,000rpm. The motor is paired with a six-speed gearbox. Royal Enfield claims the engine offers better top-end grunt and feels more refined and relaxed while touring. However, we can only validate this claim once we ride the motorcycle.
New features
The new Royal Enfield Scram 440 gets an updated features list. This includes Royal Enfield's proprietary LED headlight, switchable dual-channel ABS, and a revised braking system for improved stopping power. The motorcycle also gets a pull-type clutch and has a provision to mount a top box as an option.
Variants
The 2025 Scram 440 will be available in two variants: Trail and Force. The Trail variant will ride on 19/17-inch tube-type spoke wheels, while the Force variant will get alloy wheels with tubeless tyres.
New colours
What comes as a lost opportunity is that Royal Enfield hasn't updated the motorcycle's styling. That said, the company has updated the colour schemes on the Scram 440, which looks very attractive. The bike is available in five colours – Force Teal, Force Blue, Force Grey, Trail Green, and Trail Blue.
Bookings for the Royal Enfield Scram 440 are set to commence soon. As we mentioned earlier, the motorcycle will be launched this month.
