- Royal Enfield sold 48,789 motorcycles in April
- Exports drop by 23 per cent

Royal Enfield has announced its sales numbers for April 2021. And the Chennai-based manufacturer has registered a sales of 48,789 motorcycles in the domestic market.
As compared to March 2021, wherein 60,173 units were sold, Royal Enfield has witnessed a decline of 18 per cent. Well, this can be attributed to the ongoing Covid-19-related lockdown imposed in various states in India. Meanwhile, even exports slumped by 23 per cent in April 2021. The manufacturer sold 4,509 motorcycles overseas as compared to 5,885 units exported in March 2021.
Nevertheless, on a positive note, the Royal Enfield Meteor 350’s sales number crossed the 10,000 mark for the first time since its launch. The company also trademarked the ‘Shotgun’ name which is speculated to be used for its 650cc cruiser motorcycle that is likely to debut by the end of this year.
