- Likely to be launched in India next year
- To be offered with wide range of accessories
- Is powered by the same 649cc, parallel-twin engine
Royal Enfield has been spotted testing the upcoming Shotgun 650 in India a few times. However, the newest spy shots reveal the motorcycle kitted with accessories.
To begin with, the Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 will get a pair of swanky-looking, dual-tone alloy wheels. The spy images also reveal a blacked-out fly screen, LED indicators, and a large crash guard that wraps around the upper half of the engine. Adding to that, the second test mule that was spotted came with round, bar-end mirrors and auxiliary lights fitted onto the guard. Even the seat on this test mule of the Shotgun 650 looks flatter than the other.
The Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 will come powered by the same engine as the Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650. This 648cc parallel twin motor is rated at 47bhp and 52Nm and comes mated to a six-speed gearbox. As for features, Royal Enfield is likely to equip the Shotgun with the same equipment as the current 650s. So, you can expect a single-pod instrument console with a speedometer, odometer, trip meter, and a digital inset for the fuel level readout. The Tripper Navigation pod could be offered as an accessory.
