Styling
The Shotgun and Super Meteor 650 are based on the same plaftorm, however, what sets the former apart is the styling. Designed like a bobber, the Shotgun 650 makes for a unique looking motorcycle. With a straight handlebar, revised footpeg positioning and single-piece seat as standard it employs a custom motorcycle look. That said, Royal Enfield is offering the motorcycle in interesting colours like Sheetmetal Grey, Green Drill, Plasma Blue and Stencil White.
Performance
Powering the Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 is the same 648cc, parallel-twin engine with 46.4bhp and 52.3Nm on offer. This motor is mated to a six-speed gearbox with slipper and assist clutch.
Hardware
The Shotgun 650 rides on upside down forks sourced from Showa and twin springs at the rear. It rides on 18/17-icnh alloy wheels with tubeless tyres as standard. That said, braking is done by 320mm disc at the fornt and a 300mm rear disc.
Features
As for features, the Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 gets full-LED lights, USB charging port, the brand’s signature Tripper navigation and the Wingman app that offers additional information on the user’s smartphone.
Pricing
Priced from Rs 3.59 lakh, the Shotgun 650 is more affordable than the Super Meteor 650. The mid-spec variant is priced at Rs 3.70 lakh while the top-spec Special variant costs Rs 3.73 lakh, ex-showroom. Well, the Shotgun 650 does not have a direct rival in India other than its own sibling and the Kawasaki Vulcan 650 that costs much more.
