Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 Variants and Colours
Royal Enfield has launched the Super Meteor 650 in two variants – Standard and Tourer, which are distinguished through their respective paint themes and hardware. The Standard version is available in five colour themes – Astral Black, Astral Blue, Astral Green, Interstellar Grey, and Interstellar Green. Meanwhile, the Tourer variant, which benefits from additional accessories such as a tall windscreen and a pillion backrest, is offered in two paint options – Celestial Red and Celestial Blue.
Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 Styling and Hardware
Both variants of the new Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 carry a cruiser motorcycle design. Thus, they feature a round headlight, an aluminium finish on the switchgear surrounds, a curvy fuel tank, a split-style seat, and twin-sided exhaust pipes. The Tourer version of the Super Meteor 650, with its additional equipment, looks more like an authentic cruiser motorcycle than the Standard model.
Meanwhile, the hardware is similar on both variants and the Super Meteor 650 rides on alloy wheels that are shod in tubeless tyres. This is also the first Royal Enfield motorcycle to get upside-down front forks. Meanwhile, the suspension tasks at the back are handled by twin-sided rear springs. Then, the braking hardware on the Super Meteor 650 comprises single discs on both wheels along with ByBre-sourced calipers. This cruiser motorcycle tips the weighing scale at 241kg. In comparison, the Interceptor 650 and the Continental GT 650 weigh 202kg and 198kg, respectively (both are kerb weights).
Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 Engine and Performance
The mechanical specifications on both variants include the same 648cc, parallel-twin, air-cooled motor as the Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650. Linked to a six-speed gearbox, this motor is tuned to produce 46.2bhp and 52Nm of peak torque on the Super Meteor 650. Royal Enfield says that the Super Meteor 650 gets a different engine map and gear ratios than the Interceptor 650 and the Continental GT 650.

The feature list on the Super Meteor 650 comprises an LED headlight, an LED taillight, Tripper Navigation system, and a dual-channel ABS. The company has also listed several accessories for this motorcycle. The list includes crash bars, panniers, a sump guard, and LED turn indicators.
