- Prices will be revealed on the same day
- This is the third 650cc offering from Royal Enfield
Royal Enfield has revealed the launch date for its latest motorcycle, the Super Meteor 650. The bike is slated to be launched on 16 January and the prices will be announced on the same day. Here’s what we know about it.
It was unveiled back in November at the Royal Enfield Rider Mania 2022. The Super Meteor 650 marks the brand's third and most premium middleweight offering. It gets an LED headlight, adjustable levers, a twin-pod instrument console, and a split seat setup.
Royal Enfield has plonked the same 648cc twin-cylinder engine in the Super Meteor as it does for the Interceptor and Continental GT 650. The output is rated at 47bhp and 52.3Nm and it’s mated to a six-speed gearbox. The instrument console comprises a larger dial with all the basic readouts like the speedometer, tripmeter, odometer, fuel level readout, and more. Meanwhile, the smaller dial houses the Tripper Navigation system. The Super Meteor is also the first Royal Enfield bike to be equipped with USD front forks and dual rear shocks. Its braking hardware comprises front and rear disc brakes mounted on alloys.
With the official launch and price reveal, Royal Enfield is likely to open bookings as well. Royal Enfield has also set a reminder for the bike’s launch premiere on its YouTube channel.
