- To make its India Debut at Rider Mania 2022
- Powered by a 650cc parallel-twin motor
- Is the third 650cc offering from Royal Enfield
A few days ago, Royal Enfield took the wraps off its third and latest 650cc motorcycle, the Super Meteor 650, at EICMA 2022. The bike has also been listed on the Royal Enfield India’s website and is set to debut at Rider Mania 2022. Here’s what you should know about it.
The new Super Meteor 650 is the third middleweight offering and also the second cruiser motorcycle in the Royal Enfield bloodline. So, it gets the same laid-back design with a proper cruiser stance featuring a wide handlebar, scooped rider seat, and forward-set footpegs.
Royal Enfield has plonked the same 648cc parallel twin air/oil-cooled motor in the Super Meteor, as it does for the Interceptor and the Continental GT. The motor is mated to a six-speed gearbox and belts out 46.2bhp and 52Nm. Moreover, the Super Meteor 650 is also the first Royal Enfield motorcycle to be equipped with USD front forks and dual rear shocks. The braking hardware comprises a single 320mm front and 300mm rear disc with ABS. Adhering to its mile-munching purpose, the Super Meteor gets a 19-inch front and 16-inch rear alloy wheel.
Apart from LED illumination and ABS, the bike also gets twin-pod instrumentation. The larger dial houses a digital analog setup with all the basic readouts like the speedometer, odometer, trip meter, fuel level gauge, and more. Meanwhile, the smaller pod is for the Tripper Navigation system that aids with turn-by-turn navigation.
Royal Enfield has priced the Interceptor 650 and the Continental GT 650 at Rs 2.88 lakh and Rs 3.05 lakh respectively. And we expect the Super Meteor 650 to cost a little more than its two siblings. Not to mention, it will also get a list of accessories available on the company’s official website.
