Royal Enfield has launched the Super Meteor 650 in India. It’s priced at Rs 3,48,900 for the Astral model whereas the Interstellar and Celestial variants cost Rs 3,63,000 and Rs 3,78,000, respectively (all prices are ex-showroom, Delhi). Not to mention, the Super Meteor 650 marks the third and most premium offering from Royal Enfield.
The Super Meteor 650 features a round LED headlight (a first one for Royal Enfield) topped by a large transparent visor for wind protection. It gets a split seat and a single-piece setup depending on the variant. The brand also offers a backrest for the pillion, and the Super Meteor 650 comes laden with chrome all over.
It’s powered by a 648cc twin-cylinder engine that dishes out 47bhp and 52.3Nm. It’s the same motor that Royal Enfield uses for the Interceptor 650 and the Continental GT 650. The motor is mated to a six-speed gearbox and nestled in a completely new frame. The setup rides on USD front forks (again, a first one for Royal Enfield) and a preload adjustable monoshock. The Super Meteor 650 rides on a 16-inch front and a 19-inch rear alloy wrapped in road-biased tyres.
Apart from LED illumination, the Super Meteor 650 also gets a dual pod instrument console. The larger dial houses the speedometer, odometer, trip meter, fuel level reading, and more. Meanwhile, the smaller unit is for the Tripper Navigation system which can be accessed via Bluetooth connectivity. For added convenience, the bike also gets a USB charging port.
Royal Enfield offers a bunch of accessories for the Super Meteor 650. The list comprises mirrors, touring seats, backrests, hard case panniers, engine guards, and more. The Super Meteor 650 can be purchased in seven paint schemes: Astral Black, Astral Blue, Astral Green, Interstellar Grey, Interstellar Green, Celestial Red, and Celestial Blue.
