Royal Enfield has commenced the year with one of the most anticipated launches- the Super Meteor 650. The motorcycle was first showcased at the EICMA in 2022 and has finally been launched in the country with a starting price of Rs 3.49 lakh, ex-showroom.
Now, Royal Enfield is offering the Super Meteor 650 in two variants- Standard and Tourer. These two differ in the equipment they offer and the colour options customers can choose from. The Super Meteor standard is available in five colours. There is Astral Blue, Astral Green, Astral Black as well as Interstellar Grey and Interstellar Green. On the other hand, the Super Meteor 650 Tourer can be adorned in two dual-tone paint schemes- Celestial Red and Celestial Blue.
Fitted into a frame that it shares with the Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650, the Super Meteor 650 uses the same 648cc, parallel-twin engine. This motor comes mated to a six-speed gearbox and produces 46.2bhp and 52Nm. However, the list of features it comes with it a step above its siblings. To begin with, the motorcycle comes with an LED headlamp as standard while LED turn signals as offered as an extra. It is also the first motorcycle in the range to come with the Tripper Navigation system. In addition to that, the Super Meteor 650 is also the first Royal Enfield motorcycle to ride on upside down forks.
