- Super Meteor 650 unveil likely next month
- Could be launched at Rider Mania
- Likely to be priced above Interceptor 650
Royal Enfield is likely to unveil one of its most awaited motorcycles – the Super Meteor 650 next month. This bike may first make its world debut at the 2022 EICMA, followed by an India launch at Rider Mania 2022.
This cruiser has been under development for years now and was first spotted testing on the roads almost 18 months ago. Plus, it has been almost four years since the Interceptor launched. So it is time to add another product to the 650cc lineup.
Followed by the global debut, Royal Enfield could launch the Super Meteor 650 at the 2022 Rider Mania which is slated to take place between the 18th and 20th of November. This could be the best time for the brand to showcase this cruiser to its brand loyalists.
A lot of Indian consumers have been waiting for something like the Super Meteor 650, especially the Classic 500 and the Bullet 500 riders. But the Interceptor 650 was a bit aggressive to them, blame the seating ergonomics. The Super Meteor 650 sorts that issue due to its forward-set footpegs.
We are expecting Royal Enfield to price the Super Meteor 650 at least Rs 20,000 more than the Interceptor and that means a starting ex-showroom price of around Rs 3.05 lakh.
