- Super Meteor 650 spotted with touring accessories
- Equipped with a tall windscreen and pillion backrest
- Also sported larger footrests
Royal Enfield recently released a teaser of its upcoming Super Meteor 650 confirming its global unveil on 8 November at the 2022 EICMA show. While we are eagerly waiting for that, fresh spy shots of the bike adorning a few accessories have emerged on the internet.
All the accessories seen on the bike are majorly focused on improving its touring comfort. The most conspicuous bits are the tall windscreen, chrome-finished crash guards, and a large, cushioned pillion backrest. The mirrors also look different from the stock ones and perhaps belong to RE’s touring accessory catalogue. Moreover, a closer look also reveals that the bike was running larger pillion footrests for added comfort and we might see identical units for the rider as well. Well, the list of accessories will certainly not end here and the Super Meteor 650 will mostly come with many more such optional goodies.
While the Super Meteor 650 is based on the same platform as the Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650, it does boast some unique traits suiting its purpose. In a typical cruiser fashion, it gets a low profile with a long wheelbase and evidently offers laid-back ergonomics. The cycle parts comprise alloy wheels suspended by USD forks and dual springs while braking is taken care of by a single disc at both ends. The engine, meanwhile, will be the same 47bhp, 648cc, twin-cylinder unit but possibly with some revisions to its tuning.
After the Super Meteor 650’s global unveil at the EICMA, Royal Enfield is expected to launch the motorcycle in India at Rider Mania 2022 which will be held in Goa on 18-20 November.
