Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650: Variants explained

The much-awaited Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 was launched in the Indian market with ex-showroom prices starting from Rs 3,48,900. This middleweight cruiser motorcycle is available in two variants – Standard and Tourer. The two variants are distinguishable through their respective paint options, handlebar position, and equipment and here we explain the differences between the two versions of the motorcycle.

Colours

The standard variant of the new Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 is available in five colour options – Astral Black, Astral Blue, Astral Green, Interstellar Grey, and Interstellar Green. Meanwhile, the Super Meteor 650 Tourer gets two dual-tone paint options – Celestial Red and Celestial Blue.

Prices

The Astral range is the most affordable in the list while the Celestial series carries the highest price tag. Check out the complete price list below:

Equipment

The new Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 features a cruiser motorcycle design. Both variants get styling elements such as a round headlight at the front, an aluminium finish on the switchgear, a curvy fuel tank with 3D logos, a split-style seat, and twin-sided exhaust pipes. The Tourer version of the Super Meteor 650 further benefits from touring-focused hardware such as a tall windscreen for better windblast protection and a pillion backrest for enhanced comfort. The Tourer version also gets a taller handlebar for more upright ergonomics. In comparison, the standard version gets a flatter handlebar.

Accessories

The optional equipment under the comfort accessories includes a touring windscreen, touring seats, wider footpegs, and a backrest. Do note that these comfort accessories are only available for the standard model. Meanwhile, the Tourer version gets the comfort accessories as standard. Then, the protection accessories comprise crash bars and sump guards for the motorcycle. This list also includes rain covers for the vehicle. Moreover, the company will also offer different types of mirrors, oil filler caps, and handlebar accessories for the new Super Meteor 650. Surprisingly, the company has not listed any luggage accessories for the motorcycle yet, and we expect to see those in the near future.
