Royal Enfield will launch their adventure tourer, the Himalayan in a new colour scheme on 12 January. The manufacturer released a teaser video that revealed the date along with a cartoon illustration of the bike atop Himalaya’s mountain ranges.
The Himalayan was also recently spotted in the new paint scheme which revealed that the bike gets a base grey colour with dark grey and white camouflage graphics. This new colour will be an addition to the current white and matte black colour options. Mechanically, the bike will remain the same. The Royal Enfield Himalayan sports a 411cc single-cylinder engine that produces 24.5bhp and 32Nm of torque. This unit is mated to a five-speed gearbox and a final chain drive.
While, the bike currently retails at Rs 1.67 lakhs, we can expect a slight increase in price with the new colour. The Royal Enfield Himalayan competes with the Kawasaki Versys X-300 in the Indian market although the latter is priced at a higher Rs 4.60 lakhs.
