Royal Enfield is scheduled to launch the Thunderbird 350X and Thunderbird 500X on 28 February.
The bikes are based on the standard Thunderbird range and are also likely to share its gearbox and engine. However, the ‘X’ variants get a few upgrades that lend the bikes a modern appeal and target a younger audience.
The Thunderbird 350X and 500X get a blacked-out look with the 9-spoke alloys, engine, exhaust and suspension finished in matte black. The bikes now get LED DRLs and an LED tail-lamp. They also get a shorter handlebar and a one-piece seat as compared to the ape-handlebars and split seat on the standard bike.
The Thunderbird 500X will be available in yellow and blue colour options while the 350X will get white and red paint schemes. The bikes will also be priced at a slight premium Rs 4000-Rs 5000 over the standard Thunderbird range.
